Fissions primary charity is Romac

ROMAC is a humanitarian program that provides urgent, life changing medical treatment to children who need it the most. We have changed the lives of more than 300 children since 1988.

These children have typically been disfigured by accidents such as horrific burns and/or congenital conditions like herniated brains, deformed limbs, or heart conditions. They usually come from very remote areas and are brought to Australia and New Zealand, as advanced medical treatment is simply not available in their home countries.

Eminent Australian and New Zealand surgeons and other specialists donate their time for the required surgeries. During their recovery after surgery, local families host the children, and a parent accompanying them.

ROMAC operates in NZ under the umbrella of a registered Charitable Trust comprising of Rotarians, Paediatricians and other representatives from the Rotary and medical fraternity throughout New Zealand. They are based in Australasia and their mission is to bring new hope to these children’s lives.

To date, children have been brought from Fiji, Papua New Guinea, Malaysia, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Cambodia, Russia, China, Tonga, Solomon Islands, The Philippines, Pakistan, Iran, Timor-Leste, Vanuatu, Kiribati, Nauru and Zimbabwe.
